In a quest to understand her Algerian family's troubled past with ties to both sides of the Independence war, Mia unexpectedly unearths a plethora of contradicting buried histories. While she sets on a journey to understand how colonization tore her family apart, her attempt to unravel this complex past leads her to confront how this history still continues to echoes in the present.
