🏆 Post-Production Award for MAGMA at Agora– Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (February 2025)
At the Thessaloniki International Documentary Festival, Magma received the 2|35 Post-Production Award during the Agora Industry section. This award helps us to continue our post-production journey, and we’re extremely grateful to the jury and team for their support and enthusiasm.
🏆 Archival Materials Looks Films Progress Award for MAGMA– AJD Industry Days in Sarajevo (September 2024)
We pitched MAGMA at the Al Jazeera Documentary Industry Days in Sarajevo and were awarded the Archival Materials Looks Award. We’re proud to have received this support from such a meaningful platform in the MENA region.
🏆 Best Pitch Award for MAGMA – Point Doc Tunis (June 2024)
At Point Doc in Tunis, Magma was awarded Best Pitch and invited to participate to the Al Jazeera Documentary Industry Days in Sarajevo in September 2024. We were moved by the warm welcome and encouragement we received from peers and professionals across the Mediterranean.

We were proud to be selected by Rough Cut Lab Africa and even more honored to receive the Al Jazeera Documentary Post-Production Award at the end of the program. The mentorship and feedback we received throughout the lab were immensely helpful, and reminds us the importance of support within the African and diasporic contexts.

Magma was selected for the FCAT Post-Production Lab and awarded the LaserFilms Prize. The recognition from the Tarifa-Tangier African Film Festival means a lot to us, and we are thrilled to move forward thanks to LaserFilms generous support.

🏆 Post-Production Prize for MAGMA at the ATLAS WORKSHOPS – Marrakech International Film Festival (November 2023)

MAGMA participated in the Atlas Workshops at the Marrakech International Film Festival, where it won a €10,000 post-production award. This support came at a crucial stage of the film’s development and helped us take a big step forward. We’re grateful to the Atlas team and jury for believing in the project.
